Shutter Curtain The shutter curtain is constructed from extruded aluminium, laths interlocked to form a continuous hinge. End Locks Lateral curtain movement is prevented by injection moulded nylon 6 end locks. Guide Channels Formed from extruded aluminium section, and are designed to give an accurate lead to the shutter curtain. Locking System The standard locking system supplied is a double throw transverse lock centrally mounted on the bottom rail which operates two 6mm x 13mm zinc plated steel locking bars. These locks are available with keys to pass for multi-shutter installations. Other options available. Please Note locks are not required for motorised shutters Electrical Operation Where conditions require the convenience of power operation, we can supply a range of motorised systems compatible with our shutters. Further details of these will be supplied on request. Decorative Finishes Polyester Powder Coated Paint Finishes are available in the full international paints BS or RAL colour range Slotted Grille Effect As an alternative to our standard solid lath shutter, we offer an open grille type created by punching 150mm long x 28mm wide slots (size my vary, please contact us for details), interspaced by 50mm sections of lath between each slot as standard. This type is ideal where visibility through the shutter curtain is essential or ventilation to premises is required. This process also offers flexibility in that the number of laths punched may range from one only for night security observation to the full curtain being slotted for maximum effect.
